Trading Quarters

An independent financial publication

Independent Reviews of Brokers, Exchanges and Trading Platforms

Trading Quarters examines fees, terms, platform features and restrictions to help readers make better-informed decisions.

Every review is scored across the same four areas — the Quarter Score.

The Quarter Score

Four quarters, one honest picture

Every platform we review is examined across the same four areas. Each quarter is scored on evidence, and the reasoning is shown — not just the number.

01Safety & Regulation
Licensing, ownership, disclosures, restrictions and risk information.
02Fees & Value
Spreads, commissions, funding charges, bonus conditions and other costs.
03Platform & Features
Usability, available markets, trading tools, account options and limitations.
04Funding & Support
Deposits, withdrawals, verification, support channels and documented user conditions.

A Quarter Score summarises our research at the time of verification. It is not a guarantee of safety, profitability or suitability for any individual trader.

Process

How Trading Quarters reviews platforms

The same disciplined sequence applies to every broker, exchange and tool we cover.

Evidence status system

Important facts in future reviews will carry one of four labels:

  • Verified directly
  • Confirmed in official documentation
  • Reported by the provider
  • Not independently verified
  1. 1

    Gather primary documentation

Terms of service, fee schedules, regulatory registers and official product pages come first — not marketing copy.

  2. 2

    Verify important claims

License numbers, fee figures and headline features are checked against the sources that actually govern them.

  3. 3

    Compare costs and restrictions

Pricing and conditions are weighed against comparable services so 'low fees' means something specific.

  4. 4

Separate confirmed facts from provider claims

Every important statement is labelled by how it was established, so readers can see what rests on what.

  5. 5

Publish a clear verdict and update history

Each review states its conclusion plainly, shows its verification date and documents material changes over time.

Principles

The rules the publication holds itself to

Evidence before marketing

Conclusions are built from documents, terms and testing — not from a provider's promotional materials.

Limitations stated clearly

When something could not be verified, or a service was not tested directly, the review says so.

Commercial relationships do not determine verdicts

Affiliate compensation never decides a rating, a ranking or a recommendation.

Material changes are documented

When facts change — fees, terms, licenses — the article is updated and the change is recorded.
